Stress And Burnout The Significant Difference






Burnout is often conceptualized within the framework of stress research. the present manuscript contends that while burnout and strain are both adverse responses to job stressors they seem to have. Burnout was more highly correlated than strain with such (outcome) variables as job dissatisfaction, desire to quit the job, physical and emotional symptoms and perceived performance level.. To describe the difference between stress and burnout more clearly, we see the two problems as follows: stress => more stress => a lot of stress => too much stress => burnout in the figure you can see that stress is sort of the starting phase of burnout – the small, innocent little brother..












In support of the second hypothesis, which focused on the difference between stress and burnout and their correlates, burnout was negatively correlated with expatriates' work importance (the more important the work, the less burnout), whereas stress had a positive correlation with it (the more important the work, the more stress).. Results of studies of attachment styles, serial high-tech entrepreneurs, virtual teams in the high-tech industry, positive perception and both job and marriage burnout of working couples in the "sandwiched-generation" will be presented as further demonstration of the significant difference between stress and burnout..
